How Do You Remove Garage Pigeons?

Pigeons are quite urban birds and they like to nest on human property more than anywhere else. For instance, they like to build their nests in sheds or in garages, and it can be pretty tough to convince them to find another place to nest. So, how can one remove garage pigeons? The quickest methods seem to be the best, but the best piece of advice is to avoid rushing in. Poisoning the pigeons will not take you anywhere. This is dangerous to other animals in nature and pets. In many cases poisoning these birds is illegal because it's hard to control where the birds will die and what will run into the poisoned carcass.

Another method to remove garage pigeons would be to employ some powerful smell repellants. You may be surprised to discover that this method is not that smart, either. Smells do not bother pigeons that much. Some will use lights or sounds and even statues but the truth is the birds get used to these things. You will do better to use exclusion methods. Make sure to block off any entrance way inside and keep your garage closed. If they are roosting on the beams then you can also use needle strips and shock track to keep them away. Another method would be to employ some bird netting, and some pigeon spikes on the rooftop of your garage, so that the birds no longer find it that appealing.
